Yes, I think Im probably in that fortunate situation that Ive had the odd claim over the years, you know accident, household, and Ive had one car stolen and each time I have actually been very fortunate. In the case of my wifes car being stolen, from the time I reported it to the insurance broker, eight working days later with all the paperwork and everything in between, the money was in my account. So I think Ive been quite fortunate. But speaking to friends and acquaintances, and this is by no means a scientific survey, the conclusion that I draw is that you get what you pay for. You know, one guy might sort of save R15 a month on his insurance, but then when it comes to claim stage its bureaucracy and that type of thing. I must also say in the case of my particular broker, you phone them and say, This is what has happened, they say, All right, leave it with us, the next thing you hear, OK, your claim is going to be paid or its been sorted out or whatever the case may be. And if you end up paying a little bit more, thats what you are paying for.
